Should be able to make it work. You could maybe do bunks on one wall if its not a wifey/snuggly type usage.
A murphy bed style fold down on one wall is another way to keep space open!

Good luck!

New World Man, that's awesome. I love the Westy cabinets. I never thought of adapting that to a full size van. Well done.

Yes New World Man, nice adaptation. I grew up and camped in a '69 VW camper with similar interior. Growing up with that is what fed my desire for a modern camper!

RE the 'Dark Mode", does P71 pertain to a Crown Victoria only?
Guess I better call his dealer to verify. If it can be done that easily, it should be a sticky on this forum.

Similar to pickup bed tool boxes that fit to the outside of the bed over the hump.

I tow cars and always have receiver hitches, jump box, extra tie downs, etc. I carry when towing. It would be nice to leave it in there, if it was secure in case of an accident.

Greg, my bed height (cross members) is about 16" +-. As you say to clear plastic tubs. Just measure the height of the tubs you plan to use as some vary slightly.
You also have to figure mattress/bedding height when sitting up on the bed, especially if you have a hard top or when the penthouse top is down.
My hinges are as close to the walls as possible, so little room is eaten up with the bed folded up.
And yes, we have to remove the bedding before we fold up the bed halves.
Cheers
