Thanks gentlemen.

The store is Seattle Fabrics, http://www.seattlefabrics.com/.

A darned excellent store with all kinds of packcloth, cordura, sunbrella, taffetas, mesh etc.
Great raw camo materials.
Every hardware & fastener imaginable.

And patterns! We bought a fishing vest pattern to copy our pockets after. Good ideas on patterns to use for your own needs.

And thanks to my girlfriend who has the patience & skills to sew up our ideas.

Man that thing holds a lot...

Its a collapsing snow shovel from REI. Should do the trick for my needs.
I just couldn't see a med/large spade hanging off my van somewhere.
I'm sure you've seen this. Slightly long but compact for what you get.

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Do you have any pics of the QuadVan in-floor storage? I think I really want that upgrade next (along with a 2nd fuel tank).

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Joey, I've seen those type totes. I like them and have a similar one for my under bed storage in the travel trailer.

Nice shovel & accessories dave. Looks like some fire fighting type equipment?
A bit much for me to haul around.
Stealth is the word, as in you/I can't see all the crap I/we are hauling around. My van isn't/won't necessarily be used as a survival vehicle.
I hope to have lighter end weight, with reasonable gear for many situations. Maybe not all situations.
Some tools, some communications, gps, microwave...
Its amazing the amount of decently healthy (prepared) food that can be had and 'cooked' clean with a microwave.
No splatter, or as many utensils to carry.
My needs will probably be 75% shorepower & 25% house batteries. I plan to time my stops at the beginning or end of outback routes so I may have power, restrooms, etc.
I have an interesting water solution coming...

Sorry just spilling my minimalist mentality, not necessarily a survivalist mindset.

The QuadVan box carringb, is big! Has a light in it too.
I'm carrying a chainsaw, tools, shovel, vacuum, chains, receiver hitches and more.
I feel its close in size the the rear mounted Aluminess box (not the tall one).
I believe QuadVan has a bigger one than the one I have too.

I will work to take a pic of all the gear I carry in the floor storage. All packed in terry cloth towels for rattle free travel.

Thank you for the interest!

Frostyone - I immediately thought of the Rainshed as well - that place is great!

Max - love your approach!

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Thanks for the storage bay pic. That actually is bigger than I was expecting. I also need a good place for a chainsaw, and a dry space for tools. I found that putting tools outside on the back of the van still makes them too wet, from the condensation, and then I can dedicate the outside storage as wet storage (mainly tire chains, and muddy winch gear). The cargo hold you have is big enough for me, and I think that one still leave enough space for rear fuel tank.

Re: New To The Fold INTERIOR!

Here is my bedding bags revized into a single two door bag to hold all bedding.
My goals are to keep floor space freed up as much as possible.
