Ha! Yes, it popped up for sale in San Diego, California last week. These vans go like hotcakes out here and we were the lucky ones to get her.. It’s the EB50 floorplan and it really good shape. It’s missing the front screen in the penthouse and some other minor things, but she had everything we were looking for at a price that we couldn’t pass on. The seller even let her go for less than asking price. We’ve had van envy for a decade and it’s surreal to have a SMB of our own.
Looks like a great van and appears like a "twin" to my RB50 2001 7.3 (even down to the green trimmed out leather seats)! Enjoy the adventure(s), I to took the plunge last spring after having van envy for over a decade...
Surreal indeed. I swore someone was going to tell me it was all a mistake and I couldn't keep mine when I got it.
Based on your screen name, does this mean we'll see a lot of insufferable photos of the van on a beach with a person jumping up in the air next to the van, or someone doing yoga on the roof with sunset approaching? Maybe a pensive moment at the mythical campsite by a stream whilst enjoying something with quinoa. I josh.
Hahaha! Beach yes, yoga and jumping no. We do camp and eat a lot of quinoa, but I’m not a big selfie person or public poster so you won’t see too much of me sharing here. Dreaming of selling it all and hitting the road with the family. Life is too short and these years with my little ones are too precious to be tied down to the monotony of high rent and too much stuff.
Get those windows re-tinted. The purple color looks awful. Tint has improved greatly since 2001. I just redid mine last summer. Super easy with our generally flat windows
Yes...my kids are like "look at the blue dog and the road looks blue". Good to know its an easy fix.
