Derpro, I've been trying to talk my wife in to the sideways fridge like you have. It makes sense to me because you could get in it from in or out of the van. Anyway, so far no luck. She doesn't see the benefits. Cool setup you have there.

It's been great while at camp. I can be a dusty and dirty with my shoes on and still grab a drink!

This last Tuesday in Death Valley. This is one of my best camp sites ever for the endless sweeping views (oh, and good friends)!

Our second night in the van was the one that solidified our notion that the van life is the lifestyle for us. We are currently selling all our belongings and working towards a 5-6 month a year life living simply in a van. I had no idea just how popular this is and a life on the road is where I belong.... even more so with no pickup/delivery schedule. We found a blog that told us about the dirt road in the Temple Mountain area west of Green River, UT and we headed out to take in the "home is where you park it" way of living. The closer you get to the Moab side the more people there are so we turned off the main drag and headed uphill to distance ourselves from the getting away from it all by bringing it all with them crowd. CG found the spot and after scouting our area she spotted the coolest firepit/ stone seats down over the ridge in front of us, it was pure bliss.

Last Saturday, just outside of Grand Teton National Park.

Just past Pilgrim Creek, but before the turn off to Colter Bay, is a road that heads north. About 1/2 mile or so you get to a Park service entrance, but if you keep to the right and pass the service center, the road takes you several miles to the Park border. Just past the border is an area in the Bridger-Teton National Forest for dispersed camping.

We pulled in just before dusk on Saturday night and had the place to ourselves.... for about 5 minutes. Another set of campers pulled in for the night. They were good neighbors though.

Enjoyed a campfire and a peaceful night.

Great camp site. I've been down the road a ways but never to the end. I'll be going back to camp soon.

Mike
