My wife wanted to see the aspen changing in the fall so...
we found a site in an aspen grove in Fish Lake NF in Utah. It's hard to believe that all these trees around us are probably stemming from the same root.
We did have to walk a couple hundred feet for the view...
but the trees were there to keep an eye on the van for us.
factoid:Aspen leaf stems are flattened perpendicular to the plane of the leaf so the leaves will flutter in the slightest of breezes. Most of you probably already know this, but I didn't learn about it until I was in my fifties so I figured I could enlighten the other late learners.
