Rare footage of SMB actually wheeling

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and posted this under general formum at first. Now that I have looked around here for a bit, this seems like the better forum. I think you will enjoy what I have put together. I got tired of almost every sportsmobile video being dirt roads and maybe one challenge. While pitch is hard to capture on video, I think these two do the rig justice. Don't get me wrong, I think it only rational to not take a $100k rig on sketchy terrain. However, they were certainly built for more than dirt roads weren't they. I would love to see some other good footage if anyone has some.

Enjoy

Hey BC,

That is a cool drive. I spent a lot of time in the San Juans and know it well. You have to admit though, it does not exactly show off what a SMB can do. I almost titled my video "We're not on Imogene Pass Anymore Toto", but thought it better to dig on jeeps than other SMB owners. It has been the only video of any quality for some time which annoyed the heck out of me. Thanks for posting it or there would have been nothing.

That being said, mine even falls short of showing what it can do because I did not come close to getting stuck. Look in the "Stuck" thread and it is mostly non-SMBs. Either we as a group are not driving them hard enough or they are hard to get stuck. I did see one international location where one augered in the mud. they broke the winch cable trying to pull it out.

Good stuff!

That reminded me that I have to install my mudguards.
