I have a similar lantern that has treated me very well... it's called the Ticla Good Love. It's nice and small, but puts out good light. It's got an internal battery pack, but it also can use 4 AA's. When you plug the light into a USB outlet, it will charge the internal battery, charge the AA's, AND you can still use the light at the same time. It dims really well too.

It's worth a look if you want a simple little LED lantern.

I have nothing against the Coleman Quad lantern... I had looked into one too when I was shopping. But the big downside for me was that it uses 8 D size batteries... I don't use those for anything so I never have them at my house. If it had an internal pack or a 12V charger, it would have been a more appealing option for me.
