Re: Sighting in San Diego today....

This guy was parked behind the San Diego Convention Center. Did not have time to really check it out but I did like the weather center installed on top. There was some type of Fire or Law Enforcement event going on in the convention. He may have been in there.

Was it a 2WD? Looks like a friend of mine and he did say he was purchasing new rims.

Dave, interesting you ask. Did not look close enough as I heading to an appointment. It had Washington plates on it.

Re: Sighting in San Diego today....

Ron, aging and this forum has changed my wants greatly from the time I started reading it. First I wanted what I have now and no bigger. Now I want an EB with a 40" top it they make it. LOL. I saw this van again yesterday in the same parking space. I will be back down there tomorrow and see if I can get a few more pics if it is there.

I am relatively young still and I wish I had the EB instead of our RB now (family of 4 can get crowded). Also really wish I had an electric top! The fixed top is very appealing too since we camp a lot in snow at the ski mountain. Funny how I was only considering RB's when I purchased our SMB.

Re: Sighting in San Diego today....

This is my main travel/work rig right now. I think a EB with top would be a good middle ground between my RB and Truck Camper setup. Think about it daily....like most of us here....
