Six States and Canada Trip

Well, we just got back from a 4,000 mile, month long trip thru Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Alberta, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and back to northern California. What a blast!! We stayed a few nites with friends and then did some lodges in Glacier N.P. but other then that it was boondocking in the SMB. We've now got over 10,000 miles on our five month old Sportsmobile and it's running great.

There were LOTS of forest fires in the Idaho and Montana areas, and that hurt the picture taking and we even had to grab a motel for a nite in Montana just to get some cold filtered air into our lungs. Only had a few hours of light rain in B.C. and the rest of the time the weather was great.

Here's a few pics from our campsites:

Camping at Willow Cr, NV

Up above Tuscarora, NV

South of Jarbige. We were down by the lake.

Some cool "art" outside of Mountain City, NV

Montana

Kinbasket Lk, B.C.

Hammer Lk. B.C. Great fishing and lots of loons on the lake.

Outside of Powell River, B.C.

We bought a Coleman instant water heater with shower head and the rear shower curtain from SMB just before we left and it worked SUPER. Sure was great having a hot shower whenever we wanted. We just used lake or river water because it was so clear. If there wasn't any around, we would pull into a campground along the road and fill up the five gallon Coleman container and then go camp somewhere else and have a hot shower. See, those campgrounds are good for something.

Anyway, we had a ball. Now I have to go thru a super full inbox and get busy working on finishing up projects here on the mountain cabin before we head south to Baja in November. Anyone know the route of the Baja 1000 yet? Hoping it comes by the house again!! What a hoot.

Road trip

I should have warned you about the forest fires. The smoke was horrendous for most of August. We had to go to Wyoming over Labor Day just to find clean cool air!

Great pictures!

I can appreciate your problem Ed. I fought a few forest fires and we now have our second one of the year going at around 60,000 acres a few miles north of us. Can't wait for the first REALLY good fall rain.
