Re: Smb west on ABC
That interview was a disservice to SMB in my opinion. The whole thing shot in front of that incomplete one of kind vehicle just does not describe what SMB's really are to the general public. By not doing a fly through or even a glimpse of a Class B camper van with its doors open and a 4x4 and maybe 10 nanoseconds of a Sprinter the public learned nothing about the core business and how it might apply to them. In 2003 a coworker suggested I go to the San Diego Fred Hall expo where Alan had 3 vans on display. I sat in one of them with Jonathon (I think he was 14 then!) for a half hour and talked to him about them. That is how you get the bug. You have to see the features and apply them to your needs. The Fuso (sp?) looks like a dump truck and very few people will relate to that. A real lost opportunity for SMB West. Some really inane comments by the desk help back at the station too.
