Re: Sportsmobile Video with Interview of Alan Feld
It was our rig at the inaugural 2009 Overland Expo held just outside of Prescott, AZ. It was an incredible experience. The courses, vendors and people were all professional and informative. The next Overland Expo is April 16 – 18, 2010 in Amado, AZ.

There is so much information related to all aspects of the SMB experience. It would be great to see a bunch of us there.

Watch carefully next year for a very very close copy of the Rock'n R
Andy's rig is the inspiration for the new Disabled Explorers ride!
Soon to be seen at SEMA and the off to Baja.

Re: Sportsmobile Video with Interview of Alan Feld
Has anyone ever gotten 800 miles on a 46G tank?
I get reasonably good mileage - averaged 16.5mpg for 70,000 miles - but no way could I go 800 miles on a tank unless it was all downhill.

Can they still do the transferflow aft-axle tank? Isn't that 28 gallons or so? 46g + 28g should last at least 800 miles. I know transferflow will only sell the aft-tank to mobility outfitters, but I though SMB could still install them.

Re: Sportsmobile Video with Interview of Alan Feld
I can get 450 miles out of my 31 gallon tank so that would be a theoretical 670 miles on a 46 gallon tank and that is a gasser... 130 miles to go...

Re: Sportsmobile Video with Interview of Alan Feld
And those numbers are with a stock (light, not 4x4) chevy.
With the 6.0, driving at 55 on a good day I could do 600 miles, provided the last 20 were downhill and I didn't care about ruining the engine to get the last few drops.
