The Greengo

Well... I figure it's time I made my first post. I bought a 2000 Quigley last November, and have been faithfully perusing the endless knowledge of the forum since. Thanks for aiding me in the quest of owning my dream van.

The van had the interior converted from cargo to insulated and carpeted with four captians chairs. As I was looking for a bit of a daily driver and a camper this fit the bill perfectly and gave me plenty of options for building out in the future.

First up was rims and tires of coarse. Opted for 285/70/17s

These guys love it!

More info to come soon.

If you put the photos in your gallery, they will be accessible everywhere.

Plus you're not limited to 3 per post!

Re: The Greengo

Thanks Jage! That 3 per post had me stumped.

Up next was a trip down to SMB W. New subfloor in the van, side gaucho in the back, and penthouse up top.

Also had them install a window and a few other aluminess goodies

I've been fairly pleased with the work SMB did, however, I'm all about the details and a few of them weren't right so looks like I'll be taking another drive to Fresno. (courtesy lights no longer work, major rattling in the subfloor)

Spent the first night in the van since the work was done, last night. I've gotta say was quite pleased with how well the gaucho sleeps.

Looks Great.

Did SMB put in the couch or was that done by you ?

Does it fold down?

I ask as I would love to do the same thing in my SMB. I am starting fresh with a new design
as want to make things lighter.

I had SMB put it in. I searched high and low for a better option that would be less expensive and something I could put in my self. But, I couldn't find a good alternative so I went for it. Glad I did, I'm really pleased with it. They even made it to length for me so my feet dont hang off
It does fold down, here some pics.

Re: The Greengo

Then the next project>>> Bilsteins. Got the numbers from quigley.
33176840 out back and 33017204 upfront.

Went ahead and replaced the steering stabilizer as well. As you can tell it was looking a little tired. New one is a skyjacker 7800
It came white but a little rattle can fixed that right up. Now it's looking more suitable

I could not tell if you got a bed in the PH. Nothing like sleeping upstairs. Pretty easy to do yourself with plywood, foam and fabric.

Re: The Greengo

Got around to trying out my hand at Plasti-dip. Dipped the bumpers and the little chrome bit on my grill. I was pretty surprised with the results. Looks Amazing! Hope it holds up as good as it looks.

Used two cans total, went for about four or five coats.

Re: The Greengo

Looking great! So far I didn't see this until now. I like what the dipped grill and bumpers did for the dark colored van. I did my lower bumpers but left the top chrome. I may have to go for the full dip!
Can you tell me what kind of front bumper you have? I really like it.

Thanks
Eric

It's actually just the stock 2000 bumper with a run of the mill brush guard added. Not sure what the brand is on that.
I've been really pleased with the dip on the chrome, it's been quite a few months now and it looks great. I might give it a refresher coat soon but other than that all good. I would definitely do it again.
