Finished my cabinet switch. I did not like the slide out pantry. I thought it was a waste of space and the door keep hitting the pillows on bench. The selves are adjustable and they have a lip to keep things from falling out. I see a spice rack and maybe a few other things on the door soon.

Do yo already have your Edge installed?

If so, what model did you install?

I am wanting instal one, but since they are not marketed for E-series, I am not sure which folks are having success with.

I just installed the CTS which only does gauges. It has been worth it. Nice to now know what is going on.

It is so much nicer. I also like that I can get a spice rack for the door. You gain all the space under the slide out.

The original side door cabinet opened with the big piece up and small piece down. This was meant to have a bigger shelf inside when sitting on coach. I wanted the larger piece as a work space when outside. Here are the results:

I added a piece of aluminum on the backside. I plan on using the Jetboil and wanted a surface I could cut on.

What do you think?

Looks nice! I really dig the compressor install too. That's pretty close to the top of my list.

I installed the Jensen VX7020 with a back up camera. The price and reviews could not be ignored. My first impressions are great. The navi seems dead on, Bluetooth works perfectly (both music and phone) and back up camera pops up on the screen as soon as I put the Yeti in reverse. I listen to Pandora the majority of time and it has that feature. I can forward, like/dislike and see artist on my nav screen. I huge improvement over stock and it modernizes the cab. I added the dummy face plate for security. I will report back on long term experience.

Busy couple days. Trying to get a few things done before a trip later in the month. We just replaced our king bed. I was looking at the mattress and thought I might be able to use it. Here is the results:

Just read this thread for the first time. You've made some great mods (to a great base van). I can't believe how roomy the pantry is once you take the slider out! (Plus it seems that the type of food I buy never fit very efficiently into the pantry bins.)

Can you list a source for the dummy faceplate over your new stereo? That is nifty. Or is it something you made yourself out of the old radio? I'm getting ready to upgrade the stereo and going to go check out the model you installed.

Edited to add: Okay, I see Crutchfield lists this as "modified fit" for our dash. Yet I don't see any "hacked spots" on your install - it looks perfect. Can you elaborate on what "modfications" were involved? Looks like a great unit as I also would like a backup camera (although I want to be able to have it on all the time for when I am towing - but maybe that could be handled with appropriate switch/wiring.

Thanks for the compliments. It has been fun. The pantry is so much better. I had the same problem getting things to fit. Now I just move a shelf.

The face plate is from the old stereo. I can not take credit as someone here did it first and I copied them.

The Jensen VX7020 is hard to beat for the price. I think I paid less then $500 for both the radio and camera. All you would need to do is have a powered switch so you could watch the camera screen at all times or while moving forward. You would need to cut off for other uses because the power is what triggers the screen. It also has video out and aux video and sound input. This is so you can add an additional monitor later. No issues so far.

The only modifying that needs to be done is grinding down the top and bottom lips in the hole. Crutchfield supplied all the needed adaptors.
