Well, we've now had our SMB for 2 years. I was going to update my 1 year report but I can't find it. We are still enjoying the comfort and convenience of the SMB and have been using it as much as our schedule allows. Since our purchase we have not stayed in a hotel while on the road.
Miles driven in last 2 years: 24,000
Avg. MPG: about 15
Problems 1st year: Fan clutch, crankcase oil seal and turbo all covered under warranty. I attribute the oil seal and turbo issues to the van sitting for 5 months before we bought it.
Problems 2nd year: Front axle seals (probably considered regular maintenance) .
Nights spent in the van: 97
Nights spent in van plugged into shore power: 5
States traveled: UT, CO, CA, OR, WA, WY, NV, ID
Additions/Projects: Solar panel and controller, transverse bike rack, insulation added, coolant filter, fender vents.
Want to change: BFG D rated tires, springs, shocks
