Ramsey, I missed you down there!
I was on bike 19X (open pro). I got on the bike at RM145 in 2nd place overall, only a couple minutes out of 1st! About 45 miles in, I crashed hard at 65-70mph (over the bars). Jacked up my kidney, hurt my wrist and shoulder pretty good.
After that I rode like I needed to get to a hospital, and fast! I stayed in 2nd for the next 55 miles to the next pit, and got a replacement rider (my teammate Scott Myers) to finish my stint. He had to replace the exhaust, subframe, and both wheels before he took off.
While in the pits for 20 something minutes, we got passed by 5 or 6 bikes. But Scott is really fast and had us back in 2nd by the time he handed the bike off at Valley T. That's where our money guy got on and he did a great job of only letting 3 guys back by us.
We finished 5th overall! I haven't gotten out of bed much since!
