I guest you really liked playing with that remote car at the meet and greet. Now your going to have to find some more rocks to climb with your new car. I can't believe what a pro you were at driving Kathy's car. Have fun with your new toy!

The bad part is it seems to be as expensive has The Yeti. It is amazing the parts and accessories they have for these things. Working wenches, light bars, maxtrax, ARB fridges, HiLifts and everything else you can think of to build up the suspension and drive-train. They even have competitions that mimic an off-road adventure. Now back to the Hobby store for upgrades.

That's funny. I thought only a Sportsmobile could be a money pit for accessory fanatics!

Had prizes for:

Greatest distance traveled to V of F. Not so far this time -- San Francisco area. Last time -- Mexico and Switzerland

Dumbest mistake in their SMB -- can't remember the answer

Most unique SMB accessory -- whiskey in attached water container on back of SMB

Longest consecutive days in SMB -- three months

Packed the most people in SMB -- eight (I have had 10+ in mine, but didn't get to participate)

Owned an SMB the least amount of time -- I can't remember exactly, but I think it was one week (Fitz)

Owned an SMB the longest -- since 2001

These answers would have been much different at the 2011 Valley of Fire Meet and Greet with 28 SMBs in attendance

It would have been hard to judge the most toys, most tech, and most shiny. There were several rigs that would have been tough competitors in these areas. Steve's (berns378) rig is a 2004 SMB that is so well maintained it looked like he drove it off the Sportsmobile lot the day of the meet and greet. Everyone was envious. Well, at least I was!

Thanks for the compliment Mac. Under the hood now it has a lot of new things that look good.Just wish I didn't have to pay 3500 for them. Thanks again for a fun and well organized meet, look forward to the next one!

Finally I get around to posting some of my photos from the meet and greet.

Sunrise over Mac's SMB

Mac and Nadine.

Whole gang.

More of the whole gang.

Bounce with SMB shirt.

Locking hubs at beginning of Bitter Springs run.

The lineup of all seven on the Bitter Springs run.

The first rough stuff.

You take the high road, I'll take the low.

End of the trail. All seven made it.

The party is over.

More photos are on my gallery at: Sportsmobile Forum - DesertSMB's Album: 2016 Valley of Fire Meet and Greet
