Well today I spent about 8 hours chipping the ice and snow out of the driveway because ABF said they can't put them down on ice. But the VAN fits in the GARAGE.

Glad everyone's not heading to DV this weekend. There are some expectations of anywhere from 3-10" inches of rain coming to SoCal later this week, along with high wind advisories.

The weather report said 8"-10" of rain in the Santa Cruz Mountians and heavy snowfall in the Serrias. Snow down to 2000'.

Sounds like spring flowers in the desert this year! Maybe not like the Big Bloom of 2005, but better than the barren landscapes of 2007. I saw a grand total of six flowers in Death Valley NP last March.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to sit this one out too. +1 on posting the pics, and have a great time.

I can't believe I have to do this too, but I have to cancel as well. We did not weather the California storms too well, and I have roof and fence repairs to attend to asap, as well as some neighborhood trees that have to be pulled. If I get everything done before the 10th then I will be there for sure, but it's not looking good.

I've been trying to play catch-up since I got back from my christmas trip, and I just got the rug pulled out from under me again. Ah well, it could have been worse.

I cannot say how disappointed I am. I was really looking forward to this trip.

On a side note: my van was the place to hang out for the two days we didn't have power. Satellite tv and emergency fridge duties.

We are going to have to back out too. We're finding camping with a toddler to be a challenge best met nearer to home...
