Adventure Van Expo - Lake Tahoe - 9/15/18

Anybody interested in a great excuse to spend the day at Lake Tahoe in September? I'm thinking I am.

Ran across this the other day, keeping the day reserved on my calendar.

And here's the link:

Anybody been to this before? It looks fairly small, but a great location and like-minded people should make it fun. Also, someone from the new SMB office in Reno is scheduled to be there, it might be interesting to see what they are up to.

I think you won't find much information because this is the first year.

My wife and I will be there. We're camping at Meeks Bay.

We have a Silver E350 EB passenger van on 37s, come say hi if you see us.

The interior is still in the planning phases, so I'm looking forward to collecting some ideas.

Well the wife and I got to be there and was able to meet a couple of people.Seemed like a good turnout and was interesting to see how many Sprinters were present.
Was hoping that the Aluminess guys would have a show discount possible but unfortunately not.

We ended up not going. Neighbors across the street had us over for fresh Alaskan salmon caught on a recent fishing trip.

Did we miss much? Anyone that went have any pictures to post?

It was a nice event, well attended with good weather and in a nice location right off the lake. Plenty of people to talk to, plenty of ideas to be had. Lots more Sprinters than anything else.

In the last year I have attended both this event and Overland Expo in Flagstaff. In both cases, Laura and I bailed before the events were over to go use the van. These events are great if you want to "talk van" or if you are looking for ideas, but in the future we will always give preference to having the van take us someplace we haven't been before. But that's just us.

SprinterSnail over on the Sprinter Forum posted pictures there

Right on. Thanks! We are planning on attending Overland Expo next year, May 2019, and after a day or so taking off and exploring Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.

Cheers!
