Great photos David. Left anchorage today after a few days staying with some friends, it was a much needed rest from the van and the road, Lake finally had some other kids to play with, he was sad to say goodby, and we spent all weekend also staying up way too late, this never getting dark out is very disorienting!! Stopped at rei for a screen tent (saw a SMB in the parking lot w/AK plates), carrs for some fire wood and costco for some copper river salmon. Made it up to the grizzly bear resort in Denali, raining pretty good, there's been some flooding inside the park at the lodge, I think all the roads are open at this time, supposed to clear up on Friday.

I'm in Cantwell at the RV Park until Saturday. Went into the park to get a couple of more days, but Teklanika and the whole parked are booked solid because of the holiday.

If you are coming make sure you stock up before hitting the park. There is a small store 1 mile north of the park entrance, otherwise you have to go to Fairbanks or Wasilla to get a decent store.

And yet one more....north of wasilla today, AK plates, white with a CCV top, followed for a bit but had to pull over, nature call...

That was us, heading back south from an over-night at Byers Lake. Saw you too and thought maybe we'd meet up in Wasilla, but you disapeared from the rear view mirror (your nature call) before I pulled over. I was at Alaska Industrial Supply when I saw you go by out on the road.

We're around Anchorage for a couple days, then off on the ALCAN for the drive south.
