Anyone planning to be around Moab May 20 weekend?

Planning on taking the SMB on it's maiden voyage with the wife and kids exploring the San Rafael Swell area, thought I'd keep my eyes out for any members that might be in the area. I'm sure we'll head to Moab for a meal at some point that weekend (wife has never been).

I'll just miss you. I'll be there from May 15 to 20, when I'm driving down to the Needles district of Canyonlands NP.

BTW, if you want to go on the jeep roads in Canyonlands NP, a free day pass is now required. You can get it the day before or the day of:

Thanks for the info. Yeah, we just mountain biked White Rim a few weeks ago and had to get the permit. Saw a few vans out there. Windy as hell but a great ride and even better scenery.

I saw several Sportsmobiles on my tour through Utah a week and more ago. While heading to Moab from Escalante, I passed one very close to the entrance to Capital Reef NP. In Moab, I saw one parked outside an outdoors store. Saw it again (or a similar one) a day or two later leaving the Slickrock parking area as I was pulling in (on my KTM). A couple of days later, in the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park, I saw an older white Dodge Ram SMB van parked in the visitor center, then the next day saw it parked at a trailhead. I saw another one along the way somewhere, but forget where. Unfortunatelly, I didn't get any chances to talk to anybody associated with these vans :-(
