Anza Borrego or....

It's been a while since I've posted. Looking to see if there is any interest in a group trip out to Anza Borrego? Last time I went was with the amazing Bill Burke several years ago. I'm not familiar with the area but I remember the campfires and silly stories. I'm thinking mid May before it's cooking out there. Any interest....lemme (new word) know!

FYI, May mostly cooks all month long on the desert floor in ABSP.
April is the last chance and a transition month: For a few days it'll be 80* but the winds will be 40 mph, a few days later the winds will die off but it will be 100* or better. Higher elevation more moderate on the temp but worse with the wind.

All part of the adventure, trying to nail the sweet spot!

I may be in. I am out of a job as of 4/26 and could have some time before a new job starts. I've been wanting to get out to the desert lately.

I don't know what everyone is going on about here. It's only reaching the mid 90s out in AB. 85 right now. It's wonderful out there. But my handle is DesrtSMB, with the emphasis on DESERT.

Okay.
Friday 5/10 and Saturday 5/11.
Friday Mine Wash off of Highway 78 in Mescal Bajada
Location
North 33.11286, West 116.3455
UTM Zone 11 Easting 561063.52 Northing 3663989.15 (Mine Wash)

Turnoff Cooridinates
North 33.13298 West 116.33389

UTM Zone 11 Easting 562132.42 Northing 3666227.1

We seldom stay in the same place two nights in a row out in Borrego, Sportsmobile don't you know, with the emphasis on Mobile.

So maybe different location Saturday TBD.

Any takers. Temps on Friday supposed to be 78 in BS Saturday 84 in BS.

Friday night location at about 1600 ft altitude, so a bit cooler.

We'd be getting there sometime Friday afternoon.
