Here is a nice campsite we used last year at the southern end. I doubt is anyone will bother you here.

Re: Anza Borrego Suggestions needed

Dont use any fancy map, just cut and past the coordinates into Google Maps or Google Earth. (Its a trail so it won't show up on Google Maps Road view, you will need to switch to satellite view.) You should get the result below. (Its the green arrow)

Its 9.9 miles WNW of Ocotillo. Near Dos Cabezas Road. Its a nice remote camping spot.
There are two was to get to it. The easy way is to turn off the highway (County Road S2 AKA Sweeny Pass Road) at this location, 32.813428° -116.141830° Its 10.8 miles north of Ocotillo along S2.
The "hard way" is from Dos Cabezas Road at this location. 32.749583° -116.146718°

You can camp at Dos Cabezas but this place will get you solitude.

If all else fails try this link I made for you.

Rob (and others)
Copy and paste the coordinates below into Google Maps (satellite view) or Google Earth and see if it is far enough north for you. (Its about in the middle)

The site is located at the end of a side trail off of Fish Creek Canyon, just past Split Mountain.
Some really nice hiking areas to explore with a great view of Elephant Knees. Pretty easy to get to.

Let me know if you are interested and want further information.
