Anza Borrego TR

Hi folks
Great trip
Round trip 330 miles
11 mpg
3.5 hours each way
Missed all the traffic

Mountain Palm Springs Ground
Pit toilets (unknown condition)
Cell - ATT : one bar by toilet
Voice / txt only

Arrived Saturday about noon
Three rigs in the lower lot
Van
Trailer
Class C

Headed a few hundred yards to the upper lot
One Crewcab flatbed
With pop up can over
(Nice folks from Canada on the road for four months)

Couple days later man and nice family from Brazil with a very cool crew cab Land Rover with a pop top. Fully outfitted

Nice weather clear no rain
BBQ
Campfires
Hikes (with flash cards, see pic)

Was absolutely delighted that we pretty much had the place to ourselves

My expert hiker performed awesome feats in her pink paw patrol crocs :-)

Cooper is still Hanging tough like a tick a hound dog, 12 years old, blind and diabetic and grumpy. (But he was always a little bit grumpy :-)

Glad to see you guys had a great trip. One of the things I love about Anza Borrego is it can seem so far from civilization and always amazes me how often there is (or at least seems to be) no one else around.

If you don't already know about them, the mud caves can be a blast to explore, especially with kids.
