Re: Berdoo Canyon trail conditions?
We headed up Berdoo Canyon for real today. Overall it was pretty smooth. A couple of tight spots low in the canyon. You would hardly notice in a Jeep Wrangler, but in the van it took some careful tire placement. The only difficult part was "the cataract" at the very top of the canyon before breaking out into the flats. Rocky, tight, slow and a bit of a climb, but nothing too difficult. Used 4 low and the locking rear diff, and it went fine with a spotter. If we had run into a jeep coming down, they would have had to move - I had few options. We headed east through Joshua Tree and out the Cottonwood entrance. Thought about trying Pinkham Canyon but decided to save that for another time.
I know, I know - where are the pics? I'll post some with the trip report when we get home next week.
