Cost is definitely per van.
I think the number of people per van is limited to 2, but check with Rachel and Bill to be sure.

One of the biggest advantages with 4WD is the low range on the t/case. Even with 4wd, I came down Sheep Canyon at Anza Borrego in my Bronco when I had the stock t/case and a Ford 4 speed top loader transmission. Driving a manual trans without low gearing meant riding the brakes and the clutch an awful lot (19:1 crawl ratio). When I went to an Atlas t/case and a ZF 5 speed, it was a WORLD of difference (100:1 crawl ratio). Of course this is MUCH more significant and challenging with a manual trans.

Regardless, don't let 2wd scare you of the trip. If nothing else put in a call to Rachel and she'll get in touch with Bill and ask his advice.

I contacted Bill and you guys are right. The price is per vehicle. I don't ask how many per vehicle are allowed. I put down a deposit and I believe the class is now full. Just need to convince the wife that this will be a fun thing to do...

Bill is so easy going, you can't help but learn and have a great time. Not intimidating at all, and your wife will enjoy the class as well.

It’s a great class but at that cost I might just start doing classes myself for fun and help people get comfortable with the vans off-road.

I was referring to the speed to avoid getting stuck, and possibly different lines for the 2wd.

Need to get a locker in my van still too!
