Camping near Las Vegas?

I'm at a conference in Vegas today and need a place to camp out tonight. Anyone have a spot nearby that they could share?

Thanks,

-Mark...

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Only about 20 minutes west from downtown. We've used it a few times as a way stop.

Valley of Fire. 45 minutes north on I-15. Red Rock is closer but not as nice. VofF has showers and flush toilets in the RV camp area. Red Rock has pit toilets and no showers.

Re: Camping near Las Vegas?

I've, uh, "camped" in the parking garage of the Venician during the Interbike tradeshow when I was in college and poor.

I've also actual camped at Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City while riding trails. That was a while ago though, so you might check for new rules.

Vof is a great place and so is bootleg. I have never camp at red rock but did ride through it and it looked good.

Re: Camping near Las Vegas?

Thanks for the info. Wound up hanging out in the bar, catching up with old friends and just popped the top in the lot. I had the whole R.V. Parking area to myself
