Camping on the calif Central coast

Any members who are planning to visit or pass through the calif central coast. We live a few minutes from the Oceano Dunes (Pismo State Beach Park). You are welcome to camp on our farm. We have plenty of room and it's beautiful and very peaceful here. Avoid the blowing sand and crazy people camping at the beach. Go there for fun and then come back here to peaceful surroundings, Organic eggs & fruit for breakfast and great views. Sound good? We even have hook ups!

Re: Camping on the calif Central coast

Littlewolf, that is mighty kind of you to offer. I'm in Santa Barbara, and occasionally visit the Oceano Dunes to photograph. I've had to hustle to find camping, and ended up at some campground (I never do that) where my chair got stolen. I'll check in when I do it again, but have no plans at the moment.

Thank you!

Here's an image I made there a few years back.

Very kind offer, thanks. Never been to Pismo, but if the opportunity arises, I will be in touch.

That is great Littlewolf. I have been up there before but only flying into Oceano. Haven't taken the SMB yet. I may hit you up down the line.

Re: Camping on the calif Central coast

Thanks for the offer Littlewolf. We head up that way as much as possible. Hopefully we can at least stop by and say hi during our next trip...or maybe even take you up on your offer. Also, great pictures Jeffrey and Littlewolf.

Re: Camping on the calif Central coast

Great to know. I took the coastal route back north a couple weeks ago after working in S. Cal to have what I had hoped would be a peaceful night camping out on Pismo beach. I went to the end where there was only a Jeep with expedition type trailer set up (really nice set up). Everything was great until some yahoos pulled in at midnight with all their off road lights pointed at my van. Set up their fifth wheel about 200 feet from me and proceeded to fire up the quads and generator. I finally fell back asleep until they fired up the quads again at 3:00AM. I just don't understand some people.

So much for the peaceful night. It was great up until midnight though.

I'll definitely have to remember your place next time.

Phil

Re: Camping on the calif Central coast

Littlewolf thanks heaps for such a kind offer to fellow van owners!! I have never been to Pismo Beach, and I am heading north this coming week. I know there is some four wheel driving to be had on Pismo from what I have heard, and I was planning on going there and hopefully camping on the beach....I am an avid surfer so I am hoping to get some waves! However, your ranch looks awesome, and I would be stoked to maybe camp a night there. (Just me and my dog, and he can stay on the leash or in the van!!) So maybe I will send you another message in the next few days and possibly meet up with you folks! Aloha for now! JoJo
