Cerro Gordo from the east

A group of us are doing the CABDR-South route in February. One of the sections goes up the east side of the Inyos to Cerro Gordo Mine. Has anyone been up the east side in the last year or so? Am wondering about road conditions. We are going to access it from White Mountain Talc Road.

Been to Cerro Gordo dozens of times, a few times approaching from the east through Lee Flat. Not lately, though. You might want to check in with the Ridgecrest Gear Grinders Jeep Club, They run and maintain a lot of trails in the area.

Was there in 2016 and the East side was washed out by tunderstorms. I don't know if they fixed the road yet. Motorcyles could certainly go up from this side but what about heavy vans? I would definitely find out how it is before to attempt it.
