What is that screen covering your windshield?

Re: Colorado Plateau Parks Tour - Fall 2009

Jage's right, but that front windshield screen came from Sportsmobile West back in 2006. It was one of those items I ordered with the van but never paid any attention to for almost a year. Then I saw a picture of it being used, either in Daveb's of Ford_350's gallery and thought, I think I have one of those things. Sure enough, it was buried in the under floor storage and I had never even taken it out.

It is very good for reflecting most sunlight off of the front windshield, but allowing you to look out. The white color even repels bugs from the side windows, but it doesn't seal tight enough to keep the determined ones out, if the windows are down.

There are many deaths in the Grand Canyon. A book called Death in the Grand Canyon is an excellent read. Written by a Dr. at the Grand Canyon clinic if I remember correctly.
One of the co-authors (Tom Meyers) of the biography, Grand Obsession: Harvey Butchart and the Exploration of the Grand Canyon is also co-author of Over the Edge: Death in the Grand Canyon. He's a very good adventure writer.
