Every year we escape the heat in So-Cal and head to Coyote Plateau/Flats. It's such a beautiful place with so much to see, if you haven't been make it your goal in the future. Well worth it.
On this particular trip we visited Funnel and Rocky Bottom Lake. Fished, relaxed and explored at high elevation in the trucks. It was a great time as always. Enjoy! http://www.adventureduo.com/2012/08/...l-lake_12.html

I've been up there a few times in my Land Rover, but always thought that some of the low trees growing right on the edge of the trail would hinder my SMB, so I have not tried it yet. You seem to agree in your blog. Do you think our SMB's would et there unscathed?

We've actually been up there with a SMB and it's absolutely do-able. Just watch the limbs. Desert pinstriping will end up taking its toll, but like the above post says.. it's well worth it.
