Re: Death Valley! Anyone know about Hunter Mountain Road?

Well, just got back from an epic adventure down there. Came in Lippencott from the racetrack and it was good fun in an EB, conditions weren't too bad. I had a bolt break on my 46 gal tank and it dropped nearly to the ground. Luckily with some cleaverness got it back in place and put a new bolt in. Had to use my the bar off my hi-jack as a lever to get it in position, then kept it there with firewood while I bolted it back on with a bolt I stole from the winch mount. Good fun for sure! The springs in Saline were nearly perfect, mid 70s or better every day with overnight lows around 45-50! Awesome. Gonna save Hunter Mountain for another trip. Thanks guys!

Good to hear man! Good ingenuity as well. Did you go out North Pass or stick with South Pass?
We are headed into Saline Valley on Monday (possibly). My wife has pneumonia so it's up in the air at the moment.

Went out the North, no biggie, some snow and mud, no chains necessary that's for sure. Have a blast out there bring warmies just in case and firewood. Nothing like hanging out by the warm campfire under the desert stars! Hope the wife improves for everyone's sake!
