East Coast Road Trip-Summer 2017

Hey all, so our summer plans are taking us east with the rig this year, a rare event indeed! While most of our dates/stops are already planned visiting with friends and family along the way, if we're nearby your neck of the woods, let's see if we can plan a visit. I will include dates for areas where it's just us and are more open with some free time to meet up when we're passing through.

Also looking to see if anyone has any info on Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Bay of Fundy/New Brunswick, we've never been. We'll be in those areas around July 5th-July 10th. Anything a must see? Areas, campgrounds or places to stay, things to do?
Thank's in advanced......Any other points of interest, things to see or do along our route is welcome as well. I will post up some photos of our travels along the way for anyone interested in following.

Leaving Colorado June 18th, here's our planned stops.....
Chicago (should be interesting navigating with our trailer in tow)
Cleveland-my hometown (Dead & CO at Blossom Music Center! June 28)
Niagara Falls (June 29-July 2) (Canada day July 1 with fireworks at the falls)
Perth ON
PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick (July 5-10)
Harrington ME
Acadia NP (July 12-14)
Manchester NH
Dover MA
Barrington/Portsmouth/Newport RI
Sag Harbor LI
Fairfield CT
Walden NY (Angry Orchard Cider tour July 26)
Copake Lake NY
Cooperstown NY
Syracuse NY
Skaneateles NY
Cleveland
Colorado-back home beginning of August........

Looks awesome REF. That's a trip we want to do too if we can ever get the West out of our systems. Look up Twogone. Marc and Christine live in Vermont now and you might be close to them.

I am headed up through Maine to Nova Scotia in two weeks. Not planning a whole lot besides we want to make it up to Meat Cove. Will let you know what we learn when we get back!

I've been meaning to write up my trip from last summer to Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. Will try to do that today, with some thoughts.

Ref, that sounds great! If you have the time, I would recommend driving through Watkins Glen, at the south end of Seneca Lake (you'll be relatively close while in Skaneateles). There's a really neat gorge to check out while you're there:

Also, that will take you through a good portion of the finger lakes area.

Then you could head down to route 86 and take that to 80/90 and Cleveland (it's a much more entertaining drive than the thruway through Rochester.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. BrianW-thanks for the link to your trip report and for taking the time to put all that together, lots of great info. We've got several campgrounds already booked, some you mentioned, but will be using your intel as a guide to fill in the blanks, hopefully there'll still be some availability.

Glad it helped some! We've been to the Maine coast many times over the years, from Portland up to Campobello Island, so if you have more questions or need suggestions let me know.
