Re: Forum Meetup in October 2009

Okay, if folks that may or may not regularly inhabit the planet are invited then I reckon that opens it up to us Joisey, New Yawk, and New England SMBers as well. Not sayin' I'm the guy to do it but I can give a shout out to Gary, Al & Joey from last Fall's Northeast Tri-State area Meet & Greet to see if there's interest.

Any of you guys think you might be able to 'free up' that weekend? If so give a shout and we'll start a separate thread for organizing.

Ehh?

Re: Forum Meetup in October 2009

So what other parts of the country have some SMB owners looking for an excuse to gather?

Re: Forum Meetup in October 2009

Hey to all the Moab trip participants, Alex, Lake and I had a great time meeting and exploring Moab with all of you, looking forward to the next meet-up. Too far out to tell for sure on those Oct. dates, but we should be in for a Colorado SMB meet-up. Just to throw out a sugg. for the Colorado crowd, not sure if it will still be open to 4X4 at that time, and it may be cold, but if it is open, there is some great FREE camping spots up at Caribou Creek outside of Nederland that are rarely busy. There is also Rainbow Lakes campground right there as well. Plenty of realy nice 4x4 trails in the area, Middle St. Vrain Rd.(M), Coney Flats Rd.(D), Jamestown/Ward Rd.(M), Gillespie Gulch(D), Caribou Creek(M), Eldorado Mountain (D) as well as a handful of easy scenic routes, we/I have done most of them in my Blazer and we have done Caribou in the SMB and most of the other trails would be fine as well. We had also talked about Buffalo Pass outside of Steamboat, nice camping spot we have stayed at and it can be reserved for a group, but it will be colder at the higher elevation at that time, I am not really familiar with the 4x4 roads up there either, but it looks like there are a handful of them, a little more of a drive to get to them from Buff. Pass though. Anyone else? Jeremiah?

Re: Forum Meetup in October 2009

Yes, we have have passed that van a few times heading up in the area, but have never seen it driving around town (Boulder). Nice pics of the area, it is really nice up there in the fall with the aspens changing. We have a friend that has a red one here in town (4 Sale) and we just saw a brand new grey one in the whole foods shopping parking lot, left a note. They are multiplying, anyone on here from the Durango area, we just drove through there a week back and passed a few, one purple/maroon and an orange one, very cool color, looked good.

Re: Forum Meetup in October 2009

The only orange one I've seen belonged to SMBw (Alan Feld).
