So far no change. $2.499 for RUG on Friday when I filled up (in Portsmouth, NH). Same tonight. Hard to say if we'll see much change. By releasing some of the US reserves, prices should stay fairly stable - which is the reason why those reserves exist. At least for a little while until they can really get a handle on the extent of the damage and how long production will be stopped. It's sometimes amazing how "production stopped for 6 months! The world's going to END!!!" can turn into "eh... we're mostly back up and running at a reduced capacity in 6 days after we bypassed the damaged areas..." But the former makes for a better news story.
For better or worse, "where" our oil comes from doesn't mean a lot when it comes to prices since prices are set on the world market and we are now selling crude oil outside of the US.
