The road is rough, but I've never needed 4wd going to or from Toroweap. If it rains, then we may be limited to using the road from Fredonia. I don't expect rain in Sep, but I'm going rain or shine.

I forgot to mention, if you are going to be at Zion on the 18th, you can drive into Toroweap with us on the 19th.

Bummer, I now can't go to my own camping get together. I've been schedule for a business trip at that time. Sorry I will miss connecting with all of you. Maybe sometime in the future!

So, is this trip still a go? Can we get a count of who's in and for what part of the trip: Zion, toroweap and North rim GC. We were planning on meeting up in Zion and going on to toroweap. Anyone else?

I will be coming too. Still figuring out the arrival day.
I will likely stay in Zion one night and then head to Toroweap.

I'm hoping I can make it to the Toroweap get together since I will not be traveling on business that week. I would arrive on Monday, September 20th. Do you think my two-wheel drive Sportsmobile will make it? Is there a way to contact someone to find out what the road conditions are before I head out from Las Vegas? If I was driving in the same day as everyone else I wouldn't worry about it because one of the 4X4 Sportsmobiles could pull me out if I got stuck. So I'm not worried about coming back on the 22nd because of everyone who will be leaving at the same time.

Unless there has been rain, your 2wd will be fine. Basically, they are just dirt Forest Service roads.
Contact the Interagency office in St. George for current road conditions.
