Anyone know of a cool RV park near Sacramento close to I-5? Need a place to overnight. Done need a lot of bells/whistles, but secure and nice. Thanks.

Thanks. Decided to boondock at a Wal-Mart in Los Banos because of Los Banos.

If you are going as far as Los Banos, you could camp at San Luis Reservoir. The Basalt Campground is quite nice. It is on the far side of the dam and you access it from below the dam.

Caswell SRA. Fairly easy access off I-5.

George Hatfield SRA. There was a spot to park large RV’s that has no camp spots. Usually there is nobody around at this time of year.

McConnell SRA. This is not a boon dock spot but nice. 20.00 per night. It’s definitely the best of the bunch and not busy this time of year. It has new bathrooms and showers.

Los Banos Cr Res. This place has got a spot to camp and was about 7 bucks last year. Porta crappers were there but might not be at this time of year. You would need to call.
