GOOSEBERRY MESA UT and Mt bikes November 5th to the 8th

Taking my first biking trip in the new to me SMB and would like to throw a invite to all that can do it and want to do some riding.

They are having a 24 hour race on the gem trail closer to Hurricane.

I will be camping out on the mesa about 1/2 mile passed the parking area.

I will be on FRS 8 no tone.

Re: GOOSEBERRY MESA UT and Mt bikes November 5th to the 8th

Ok I did see some SMB in the area but none on the trail.

Not bad for a shake down run. Water filter clogged or stopped flowing and had to use the shower head to was dishes. Was told it had a 10 gallon tank of water and found out it only takes 5 to fill it. I need to get the solar done with the house battery it will only last a day before its down to 10 volts. My new addition to the tire holder works great. see attached.

Did all the trails in GB and got my GBM stickers from a friend.

Looking to set up a weekend in Glendale NV to ride some new trails not open to the public yet A good friend is building them and was able to do a few miles on monday with big smiles. SO pm me if you want to join in.

just a shot of the turn off. My good dead for the trip was towing out a Honda that put a hole in the oil pan trying to get to the trail head

Excellent choice in beers too, though given the choice I prefer the IPA from Stone.

Not sure how I missed your original post, but I would have loved to meet up there (not that I had the time). GBM is a favorite place to ride and camp for me. It would be fun to get a SMB trip up there with fellow mountain bikers one of these days.

Yep, I'd like to get out there for some MTB riding and camping too.

If that proves too much of a challenge, maybe a closer venue like Kernville or Mammoth?

Would love Mammoth. Don't know anything about Kernville.

Re: GOOSEBERRY MESA UT and Mt bikes November 5th to the 8th

I have a offer from Morgan the guy that built all the trails in GMB to ride some new ones not open to the public on hwy 93 50 miles north of Vegas. I just need to set a date and he will stay the weekend with us at the trailhead and show us around.

With Morgan its a history of the area and how it became a trail. good fun

I'm also working with the group I ride with in Fullerton on thursday nights to see if and when.

I did ride a few on the way home and they are fun.
