Heading to Colorado, a couple questions...

We're heading to CO in a couple weeks and were wondering if anyone had made the trek over mosquito pass in a SMB? We'll be acclimating in RMNP then on to Leadville to hike Elbert and was thinking about dropping down and running the pass there instead of taking the highway. Has anyone tried it?

Also, any mountain bike trails we shouldn't miss in the area? We'll be heading to Crested Butte for a day or so then plan on hitting the Monarch crest trail before hiking Princeton late in the week. Has anyone driven their SMB to the radio towers on Princeton? Thinking about camping there the night before the hike.

Thanks everyone- hope to see some of you soon!

Haven't done any of those trails, but it sounds like you're hiitting some good spots. Crested Butte has some awesome singletrack...I'd just stop in one of the local bike shops to get some specifics. Make sure you stop by Mt. Princeton hotsprings afer your hike...go down by the river instead of the pool. RMNP is beautiful as well. Have fun on your trip!
