Honeymoon boondocking suggestions near Fresno?

You guys are great. I think I'm going to like this forum. Geoff, I saw your pictures on the SM web site prior to pulling the trigger - great stuff. As for Fresno and romance - I'll try to make a little magic despite and hold out for the two day trip in San Francisco.

Parking in San Francisco is very expensive and much of it is inside the garages where overhead clearances might be a problem if you are getting a 4x4. PM me if this might be a problem for you and I can offer some solutions.

I may be a little biased since I moved to the Fresno area 39 years ago because of the mountains that are in our backyard. I can be at Shaver Lake [5000 feet] in 45 minutes, and easily 100 boondocking sites in the National Forest in an hour or two. I have not been to Philadelphia, but it must be way better there.
