Jackson Hole "Meet and Greet" June 21st thru 23rd

Was looking at the Moon App today and realized that there will be a full moon on Saturday June 22nd. Moonrise is at 9:13pm. Hears hoping for a beautiful moonlit view of the Tetons.

Bring your coats. The nights and mornings have been chilly.

My wife and I will be at the campground by Wednesday early afternoon. We hope to spend the day exploring Jackson. It's been over forty two years since I've been there. The last time I was there was with my high school basketball team when we played against Jackson. We lost . . . as usual.

We have been watching the weather too. 31F Thursday is going to be interesting. Daytime of 70s is going to be nice.

The fridge is packed.

Ron,

Where is a good place to buy some firewood? If we all bought $5-10 worth we should be able to keep warm for awhile.

I have my Trasharoo stuffed with the end cuts from the cedar deck that I just finished. Not sure how long it will last but it's free.

Go you one better . . . The solstice is Thursday. (5:04 GMT Friday minus 6 for MDT gives 11:04, just squeaking in on Thursday.) both Thursday & Friday will have 15 hours & 8 minutes, 32 seconds of day. How's that for organizing genius?

Almost there. Washing clothes and bodies on the Idaho side. Here's some pics of our meander across Colorado. We gave up on the slow approach when we realized the M&G was this year, not next, and cut out the Flaming Gorge wander to head straight towards Rock Springs and Pinedale.

Climbing to Cottonwood Pass, west of Buena Vista

And the pass. Asphalt but lovely.

West to Kimball Pass

And north to Green River Country

Getting close, on Cliff Creek

More to come . . . Gotta catch the laundry.

FWIW, I will probably stop in Saturday mid-morning to say hello. Outside chance I will stay overnight Saturday.

I have a Baja tan 2004 extended SMB with Wyoming plates....
