We just had a great week of off the main road travel in Utah and Nevada. We camped and Navajo lake a couple days and did some Mt biking then off to Escalante via Hells backbone. Then we went over to Fish lake and down to Otter creek res and camped on the lake. From Otter creek we went over the 153 ( what a climb 1st gear is all I could get out of the van tranny temp did not go above 220) From Beaver we made our way to Great Basin NP just in time to make the last cave tour and really was glade we did. We camped at Cave lake by Ely and I do recomend this small but clean camp. Then home on the 93. We had T storms every afternoon and it was great. The few issues we had are 1, ground on the pump for the water came loose ? we are having a strange deep boom sound every once in awhile from the back and have yet to figue it out. Its kinda like a backfire but dont see anything out the exhaust when it happens. It might be a vent in the back realising with all the windows closed and ac ( seems to stop when ac off but not enough run time to be sure. New bike rack did alot of washboard roads and worked grreat.
All in all it was a fun trip
Below is me playing with the new gopro and doing timelapse of the trip.
