Joshua Trees....

in Utah! Who knew?

Drove down the Joshua Tree Loop west of St. George today. Nice drive, very desolate, major fire damage. Trail SW5 in the Massey/Wilson guide.

Re: Joshua Trees....

Hey Zeta, we were just down there a couple of weeks ago, the Beaver Dam Mountains and wash down by the NV border. We were camping out of our pickup camper and wishing for a SMB as we scraped ice off the inside in the morning. Beautiful large stands of Joshua trees and the lowest point in Utah. Wish we had been there when you were there, would have been great to meet you.

Re: Joshua Trees....

I was amazed. Never, BTW, touch a Joshua tree--mean and nasty.

Re: Joshua Trees....

FYI. There are 7 types of Yucca Trees. One is a Joshua tree. The desert system ranges between Utah and Mexico. Google Deseret. PS. The Mormon's named the Joshua Tree.
