We've been there in a large motorcycle group (20-30 bikes). The group issue isn't an issue as far as I've seen.

The Glacier camping guide is here. http://www.glacier.national-park.com/camping.htm#camp

There is some primitive camping with what they say,

via primitive dirt roads. Large RV's and trailers are not recommended.
I don't know if a 19' Sprinter is large. It is tall but I think some of the 4wd SMBs are close to that length.

If the camp is too hard to get and out of though it might be hard to see the park. Note Sprague Creek has just 25 sites. Although not primitive it doesn't have showers so some might consider that primitive after a few days.

It is roughly 1200 miles for me so it is in pretty easy reach.

Regards,

Keith

As of this typing the pole is showing 14 to 12 Moab and all I see are posts about Glacier.

Since when is this a democracy?

If we're doing Moab in May we need to get some dates set and start working on a general idea of where to be. Volunteer organizer positions are still open.

How about May 11-15th in Moab? Early attendees can meet as early as the 8th (Friday) and the "official" unofficial meet will start the 11th. That will give people the weekend to travel and return on each end.

C'mon Moaber's - post!

I lived in Moab (before Charlie Steen) and Grand Junction and have spents lots of time 4wding in the La Sals and the canyons. It is great country. But since I had DTBT and now have the luxerious Sprinter, I ruled it out for us.

We were already planning Glacier in August so we're happy no matter what get decided.

Regards,
Keith

I wanted to plan further out date-wise so more people would come with somewhere that was a destination (worth the drive if you're far away). Plus I didn't want to cross the hill in January again!

Hopefully more people will attend, it's always fun to see other SMBs.

myriad-I have been swamped the last few months. I am still up for the Mojave Road or Death Valley again, in late January or February. Wanna still go?

I am up for Moab in the late spring or summer. Can we go to that place that Jeffrey went to-where you need reservations etc?
