Looking for North Rim boondock suggestions for 2WD

We will be heading out to Zion NP this Thursday for 3 days of Canyoneering before heading down to the North Rim. I had not planned on staying in any campgrounds but will be looking for some good places to park a sprintervan for a day or two somewhere along the North Rim.

Our plan is to do some day hikes into the canyon and check out the Grand Canyon Village.

Thanks,

tv

Re: Looking for North Rim boondock suggestions for 2WD

See my response under North Rim for boondocking.

There is no 'village' on the North Rimjust a visitor Center, lodging, campground, stores and some great scenery. Not many buildings to see. If you can get a site at the campground it is worth staying there. Nice hike to the lodge from the campground. A mile or so in the other direction takes you to the Bright Angel trail, Widforss Trail, Uncle Jim Trail all of which are worth hiking multiple times.
