Looks like fun! Last time I got caught in the snow out on 395 I was on my motorcycle. Damn heater wouldn't work then either!

An interesting adventure for sure. I've also had snow build up and clog the intake and exhaust on my Espar stuff. I think some people cap them when in mud and snow...just remember to uncork the system when you fire it up. Blocked exhaust can be a hazard.

Snow sure makes for some scenic shots.

Amazing you were able to keep such a positive attitude with all that going on. Great report and pics!

Sucks that your roof box locks iced up. Back when I had the open clamp style ski racks I was always told not to lock the rack while driving, only when parked, for just that reason, drive all the way to the mtns and not be able to get your gear out of the racks cause the lock was not functioning! But I now have a roof box and often have wondered about the lock on many trips since that is the only way to close the box.

Great info, definitely wont be locking it when driving up from now on. The lock on the box did not freeze and I had no problem opening that one up, which is good because as you said, that one has to be locked to close.

Cool story. All those mishaps make the end result that much more enjoyable. I've always wanted to ski Mammoth and sit in the hot springs afterwords. Cool pics of Möbius in snow. Thanks for sharing.
