There are no "real" camp sites but camp areas. Aliklik is where the 4wd play area is and I believe you guys are camping/meeting. In each camp area there are wood slotted pergolas, each over a picnic table. Also bathrooms with no water but normally TP. If someone gets there Friday afternoon you should have no problem getting a few pergola "sites".
You can drive in at any hour. Rangers usually at the booth at each entrance normal hours collecting fees but also drive around and collect when checking on things during the day.
If you see a ranger you can ask for a map of the trails. Also ask of they have one for the Forrest. A nice drive is down to Piru Creek and up Alamo mountain. Circles around the top of the mountain and same road down. About 1/4 paved and then dirt, easy for 2wd as well. In the Hungry Valley area you can do the discovery trail partly on Power Line road.

That is great information... is there any risk of not finding a space this time of year?
Does anyone that is going on Friday know what time they will be there?
Maybe a few people could meet up and save a space for the group and post where it is.

I plan to be there on Friday ( I can be there almost anytime in the afternoon or evening) and stay until Sunday

We plan to be there Fri and Sat nights. Not sure what time Friday we would get there but at this point likely sometime in the early to mid afternoon. I'm not familiar with Hungry Valley but we'll do what we can to scope out a suitable location with enough spots. It sounds like the most promising area is Aliklik campground? Anyway, for anyone who wants to make contact, share info, or give me orders, PM me and I'll be happy to help in anyway I can.
So sorry, but I can't make it. I mean, my SMB can't make it. I have two broken leaves on the front springs, and I can't get the repair until next week.
