I'm going to assume you mean camera gear?
I picked up a used Nikon 300mm f4 lens before the trip. All the wildlife shots were taken with it as well as the dude playing the bass. I like the lens. It's a bit of a tank at nearly 3 lbs but it's pretty crispy and was worth every bit of the $350 I paid for it. The only other lens I shot with was a Nikon 12-24mm wide angle. Body is an older D90. Some of the shots were taken with my Fuji x100.

Ha! I thought about throwing one in, but that would have required me digging through a pretty big box of old photos just so I could take a digital photo of a print photo to post.

I bought another 1973 2002 about 14 years ago and have it still.

The tires are Cooper s/t Maxx in a 285/75/16. I like them a lot. The only time I ever hear them is if I push them too hard into a corner. They seem to be wearing pretty well. The head lights are the Truck-Lite LED's. Huge improvement over the stock lights. I like them.[/quote]

Thanks for the information on the lens. I knew you were using a telephoto type lens. $350 for a prime! That is a steal even if it is a used lens.

I have been looking at getting a telephoto lens for my kit. The longest lens I have is the Nikon 25-70 f2.8. The lens I am waiting to hear more reviews about is the new Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR Lens.

Man, great pics and story. I'm sitting here at the beach (camping) with the family and it's nice to read about your memories while I'm making more.
