We will be driving down to Todos Santos first week of February. We have a house rented starting on the 11th but would love to meetup / travel with others.

Eddyturn, Bottom line is you can use LSD in you van without a problem. All diesels sold after 2008 are required to be marked ULSD only. ULSD is required if a diesel has a particulate filter because the extra sulfur will clog the filter. The 6.0L in the vans are an older design and do not have particulate filters.

How about a 2x4 drive E 350 EB 7.3 diesel . Made the trip 3 times in VW Westfalia in the 80's.

For those keeping tabs on this thread, I am starting a separate thread titled "2017 Score San Felipe 250 March 30-April 2". I am hoping to get a caravan together to head down to Baja together. Our spring break is the week prior, so hoping to pack up the fam and make our way out to Cali where they will fly back home prior to heading down. Please hold your comments for the other thread to avoid any confusion here....hope there's some interest as I've gotten the directive that I'm not going it alone.....
