We did about twenty miles today, much of it in low range.

We'll be passing through Moab Saturday morning on the way to Farmington, NM. We don't plan on stopping, but if you happen to be in town instead of out in the boonies, maybe we could meet up.

OK I've heard of people "hovering" over a nasty toilet seat, but standing on it or using the floor? Like you said, WTF?

Many places in the world don't have sit down toilets, particularly for public toilets. Just a cultural difference.

Right. In a lot of SE Asian countries a toilet is a hole in the floor which they squat over. To someone seeing a toilet fixture for the 1st time it probably looks like a place to wash up in.

Yep, most of Asia is that way, but it isn't just Asia. The lower half of Italy has open pit hole in the floor toilets, and much of the world east of there too. More of the world uses that type than our type. And there are a lot of international visitors to the Moab area.
