Moab and beyond.

Let the fun begin,....so far I'm loving being retired. First up is Moab. I set a departure date from Wa on March 20th and I've contacted some friends that seem interested. I've never been anywhere in Utah, but I do realize that to see everything there is to see, I'll need a year. So, I'm going with a friend who has done several trips already and wants to do Moab. I'm open to any meet ups if anyone will be in the area starting around the 25th. This should coincide nicely with the expected huge explosion of desert wild flowers from the wet winter everywhere. Its already started in Arizona. Anyone care to join us?.........................

I live in SW CO (Cortez to be exact), hit me up if you come by this way. Cortez itself doesn't offer much besides Phils a world if you mtb, but it's a nice adventure hub. We end up in Moab often, so we'll hit you up if we're headed out there.

Happy to help with route finding it last minute crash pads.

You still gotta pass through the Bay Area and visit your friends who still have to work every day. We're looking forward to it. Hope you and Janet are well. Can you bring us a big halibut?

Actually, the bay area is quite a ways out of the way when traveling from up North, but that doens't mean we won't pass through at some point. The last halibut I was eating on weighed in someting over 100lbs, but it doesn't travel too well in the van, so I had to leave the last of it in Ketchikan with a friend when I left a few weeks ago.

You just doing Moab or trails in the local area including Canyonlands? If my contractor gets my shop built by then, I'd love to run a trail or two with you guys. The rain has put the building on hold and we're finally getting some warm days. So kinda touch and go for me.

I'm open to anything since I've never been. Now that I'm retired I can stay as long as I like. One of my friends wanted to start in Moab, but now he is a bit unsure he will be able to make that time frame. My other friend is open to exploring anywhere so, I'm open to ideas and will be happy to meet up with folks for exploration, camp fires, and a few beers. Since I've never been, would anyone care to recomend a meet up spot near Moab, or even Canyonlands? Once we decide on a location, we can zero in on a date.

All I need to know is where we could meet. I'm looking forward to it.
